Today Jonathan both led the service and preached, taking as his subject the question posed in the Westminster Catechism regarding the “chief end of man”. The reading he chose for this topic came from Psalm 73, one of the scriptures on which the answer to this question is based. It is very honest about the fact that for many Christians life is far from perfect – but God is always with us, and his presence should give us reason for joy.
