Today’s service was shorter than usual, to allow us to gather with the rest of the town at the War Memorial for a Remembrance observation at 11am.
In a break from the series we have been following, Jonathan spoke on a theme based on two verses from Joshua:
Joshua 23:14 “… You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.”
but these promises were conditional, therefore:
Joshua 24:14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. …”
After introducing this theme, Jonathan invited contributions from those present.
