Today we were privileged to have as a guest speaker Paul Green, a lay minister with the church of England who assisted us in setting up our “Listening to God” ministry.
He took his theme from the words of Christ in Matthew 10:7 – “proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near'”. When we become Christians, we become citizens of a new kingdom – the kingdom of God. And because this kingdom is near – just a prayer away – we can become places where God’s kingdom breaks through, giving others the chance to see how things will be different when the kingdom is fully established. As Christians, we should start to see things differently, and as a result we should begin to act differently.
