In today’s service Rachel explored how the kingdom of God grows in these in-between times, following the inauguration of the kingdom but before its consummation. She looked at several of Jesus’ parables of the kingdom, notably the illustration of the wheat and the tares. These are two varieties that look much the same in their youth, but at maturity the wheat offers plump grains for harvest, while the tares offer almost nothing.
