In today’s service, Jonathan continued our series taken from 1 Peter, this time looking at 1 Peter 1:13-2:3. In this passage, Peter calls the scattered Christians to be people of hope, living holy lives and loving one another deeply. Making the point that this requires us to stand out from those around us, Jonathan showed a short video clip demonstrating how remarkably squid can blend in with their surroundings, so as to be effectively invisible. This is not for us – if we are obedient to Peter’s call, we cannot help but be distinctive.
